HTC Desire 816 phablet now available online

More than a month after HTC announced it in the Indian market, the company's mid-range phablet, Desire 816, is now available online for purchase.

While the Taiwanese giant had promised a early-May release initially, it took two more weeks to reach the market. The phone is now available online on e-commerce websites. The black and white colour variants of the phone are available on Flipkart at Rs 24,999. It's worth pointing out that the phone is selling at a price higher than its launch price. HTc had launched the phone at Rs 23,990.

HTC Desire 816 is a dual-sim (EVDO/GSM+GSM) smartphone. It features a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 720X1280p. The phone is powered by a 1.6GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400, and 1.5GB RAM. The phone comes with 8GB internal storage expandable through a microSD card. It sports BoomSound front stereo speakers just like the HTC One.

The Desire 816 sports a 13MP, f/2.2 rear camera that can capture 1080p video and a 5MP front facing camera. The phone comes with Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi and GPS connectivity options. It is backed by a 2,600mAh battery and comes with a nano-sim slot.
