Lava has officially launched the Iris 450 Colour Android smartphone at a price of Rs. 7,999. The phone had earlier been listed on company's website without a price tag or availability details.
Lava Iris 450 Colour runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box and supports dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) functionality with dual standby support. The Iris 450 Colour is powered by a 1.3GHz dual-core processor coupled with 512MB of RAM. It features a 4.5-inch IPS display with a FWVGA (480x854 pixels) resolution.
The smartphone sports a 5-megapixel rear fixed-focus camera with LED flash, while it also houses a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. The Iris 450 Colour includes 4GB of inbuilt storage that is further expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. It packs an 1800mAh battery which the official listing claims can deliver up to 9 hours of talk time on 2G network and up to 8 hours of talk time on 3G network.
Apart from 3G network support, connectivity options on the Iris 450 Colour include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS and GPRS. It comes with dimensions 136x63.5x10.5mm and weighs 136 grams.
The smartphone will be available in two colours - pro black and ivory white. The box contents will include an extra flip cover of the same colour and one replaceable back panel of different colour. Consumers buying the pro black version will have the option to choose between blue and tan brown coloured back panel. Consumers buying the ivory white version will have the option to choose between blue and raspberry pink coloured back panel. Violet coloured back panel will be available off the shelf.
