Our Mission

Our mission is to make family communication fun and functional for everyone in your family.   We love technology.  It's the backbone of our company.  But as parents, we discovered the more gadgets we had, the more networks we used and as a result, the more challenging it became to keep our family coordinated and emotionally connected. And that technology was creating some unique problems:

• Social media was noisy and driving us nuts.  The lack of privacy was becoming increasingly worrisome. 
• It was becoming harder to gather family information via multiple emails, text messages, and social media accounts
• We saw our teenagers lobbying for increasing autonomy, but we were concerned about their safety.
• We saw our younger kids wanted to establish online identities, but we were uncomfortable with the lack of privacy and their limited understanding of online etiquette.

So we decided to take our experience and create solution; a company whose sole purpose is to benefit the one thing that means the most to us – our families. We know our most meaningful connections are with our families and thus SquareHub was born!

Our Product

SquareHub, a free mobile app, makes coordinating and communicating simple, safe, and fun. Send private messages and photos, coordinate activities and share those spontaneous moments of joy with the people who matter most. SquareHub is available free for iPhone, iPad and Android based smartphones and tablets.

SquareHub addresses the need to coordinate multiple activities each day, while keeping personal information private. With SquareHub, every family member on the network can send instant private messages and photos. Parents can coordinate activities and kids can request a pickup or tell parents privately when they will be home. SquareHub replaces the inconvenience of multiple communication avenues—texting, phone calls and email—with the ease of a single app that all members can use.

Families with active teenagers, professional parents, divorced parents and military families will love the privacy protection, efficiency, and virtual presence SquareHub brings to their daily communication. With SquareHub, families no longer have to think twice about sharing personal details like where everybody is, what everyone is doing and those goofy, memorable moments they want to share with each other.

Our Name

Back when we were kids our refrigerator doors were not these stainless steel behemoths that we have now. Instead, they were really the “hub” of activity for families and were routinely covered with photos, notes, and reminders. As a result, we figured that the “Fridge” or “Refrigerator Door” would be a good real-world example of what we were trying to do - helping families coordinate and connect around a common hub.

Additionally, “Squares” have always been gathering and meeting places: Moscow’s Red Square, New York’s Times Square, or Trafalgar Square.

So, we combined the concepts - and since “Rectangle Hub” and “Refrigerator Hub” didn't quite roll off the tongue - we decided on “SquareHub”. At the end-of-the-day, a name is just a name, the most important thing is ensuring that what we’ve built works for you family. Let us know!
