Wickedleak has launched the Wammy Titan 3 Octa smartphone at Rs. 14,990 in India, and says deliveries will commence from 5 April 2014. Apart from being powered by an octa-core processor, it also features optional AquaProtect hydrophobic coating, for an additional Rs. 1,500. This is the company's second octa-core offering, after the Wammy Passion X.
The Wammy Titan 3 Octa smartphone comes with dual-SIM support (one Micro-SIM). The Android4.2.2 Jelly Bean-based smartphone features a 5.7-inch IPS WXGA (800x1280 pixel) display with OGS lamination and Dragon Tail Glass coating.
The Wammy Titan 3 Octa is powered by a 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592 processor with a Mali 450 GPU and 2GB of RAM. The handset includes a 13-megapixel rear camera capable of recording 1080p videos, and a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter.
The smartphone comes with 16GB of inbuilt storage, which can be expanded up to 64GB via microSD card. The connectivity options included in the Wammy Titan 3 Octa are GPS with A-GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n with direct functionality, Bluetooth 2.1 and 3G.
The Wammy Titan 3 Octa is backed by a 3200mAh battery, which the company says delivers a standby time of up to 3 days. It measures 178 x 105 x 63mm and weighs 475 grams. Describing the AquaProtect technology, Wickedleaks says it "is a specialized process that applies a liquid repellent substance inside and out of the Wammy Titan 3. With the help of AquaProtect the new phone can sustain in water for more than 30 mins."
In February, Wickedleak expanded its Passion smartphone series by introducing the Wammy Passion X for the Indian market at Rs. 22,500. The Wammy Passion X is also equipped with the firm's AquaProtect technology.
