The Basics:

The wifi viewfinder feature of the app even allows you to see what your CaseCam is seeing on the screen of another IOS device, enabling you to frame the picture you are taking while you are in it! This eliminates the need to have a separate photographer to take the picture for you so that everyone in your group can get #inthepicture.

We are excited to be here with our first project. We invented CaseCam to enable users to get the very most out of their mobile devices.
The case and app were born out of a desire to be included in group photos of friends and family and to enhance the phone’s capacity for capturing hands-free pictures and videos. CaseCam solves a problem faced by students, moms, dads, travelers, video bloggers, and anyone who uses their phone to snap group photos or take video.
The scenario is very familiar. You are with a bunch of friends or family, in a special, memorable place and you want to capture that moment, but no one is around to ask, “Hey, can you take our photo?” So you, the photographer, get left out of the photo. CaseCam puts everyone back #inthepicture by eliminating the need for a photographer.
CaseCam also makes taking video much simpler, allowing you to set your phone on any surface and just press record. This allows users to record the moment without having to hold up their phone and watch it through their phone’s screen.

CaseCam uses a flip-out mirror kickstand to allow you to take pictures and video without having to hold up your phone. The mirror reflects the light into the iPhone camera and the kickstand clicks into the case when you don’t need it. It also works as a horizontal kickstand to prop up your phone for viewing videos.
The CaseCam App inverts the images and video that you capture so that they appear right-side-up again after being reflected off of the mirror. (And yes, it’s free.)
The app saves your pictures and video to your iphone’s camera roll so that your can edit them and share them like you normally would or you can share them directly from the CaseCam App!
The CaseCam App allows users to take group photos like never before, you can use it to:
- Take pictures with an adjustable timer
- Take pictures remotely by syncing with your friend’s IOS device, or your iPad.
- The app’s innovative WiFi-viewfinder feature lets you use your friend’s iPhone to see what your CaseCam sees, so you can frame the photo while you are in it
CaseCam is designed to be extremely low profile, but robust enough to protect your phone from wear and tear just like any other high quality protective cell phone case. It is made from impact-resistant injection-molded Polycarbonate — the same material used to make bullet-proof glass!
The case is also designed to look and feel great in your hand and your pocket, the slim design leaves lots of room for other items in your pocket, you may even forget that it’s there. The case leaves the buttons, audio port, and the thunderbolt port unobstructed so that any headphones or thunderbolt cable can plug in without needing to remove the case.
The mirror is made of optical quality Soda Lime glass with an extremely tight surface flatness tolerance so that your images will not be distorted at all and there is no perceivable loss in image quality. The mirror now stows toward the phone when it is not in use protecting the mirror from scratches

I am very happily married to my beautiful wife, Miriam. We live in Kirkland and two kids Gia (6) and Rocco (4). I currently work as a Managing Real Estate Broker at a small real estate office in downtown Kirkland, WA. We have been thinking for years about how a product like CaseCam would improve the day-to-day lives of other parents like us.
Last year I was looking across the sea of parents sitting on bleachers watching their kids in the preschool holiday show. It seemed like every 3rd parent was, like me, unsuccessfully trying to control their wobbling iPhone camera in their hand while their elbow was uncomfortably propped up on their knee. CaseCam's retractable mobile stand would enable all those parents to shoot better, more stable videos while actually being able to watch firsthand and enjoy the show.
We love taking our kids on adventures and vacations. Looking back through the photo album there was only one parent, either my wife or myself, in every family photo. It's just too inconvenient to find a trustworthy impromptu photographer at the beach, zoo or Disneyland that has the patience to frame the shot the way you want. I'm excited to immeasurably improve the quality of the family photos for myself and others when out together having fun.
With CaseCam's Bluetooth pairing and screen sharing, our photos will always look the way we want and with everyone included in the picture. We want our kids and our grandkids to look back at these photos and see that we were all there together.
